Because we all know that's so edgy and original and is also totally going to happen.
It's just that "member" sounds so homoerotic. :S

Slightly off topic, but are buglunch and sailoreagle permanently banned? Seems a little harsh for them to get a permaban. I understand that multiple alt-nick guy getting a permaban but bug?
How many chances does he (or Sailoreagle) deserve? I'm pretty sure both were given at least one temp-ban before their plugs were permanently pulled. Additionally, what would unbanning buglunch accomplish? He was extremely unrepentant and if allowed to return I'm sure he'd engage in the same spamming behavior that got him banned in the first place.
Also, I think providing any kind of public information about the banned would only result in post-banning drama. I've been to forums before where moderators ban more openly and it only results in everyone going batshit every time a long term members is banned.

Letting everyone know when someone is banned permanently sounds fair enough to me. If other people reckon a ban is unreasonable, they should get a chance to say so.

I reckon it's up to the admin to decide what's reasonable or not. But if we're making a wishlist, some consistency in decisions would be nice. Goalposts should be fixed, not moved for different people.

Not to mention logical consistency.
