Edwin's actually been a contributor over at EG for a while, and I had some unkind things to say about his tendency to wax purple, digressive, and long-winded on his initial set of reviews over there. He's since put a lot of work in on reining that in, and has become a person whose reviews I actually look forward to reading, not so much for his opinion on whether a game's good or not but for the sheer joy of reading someone's who's good at his work, actually analyses the games in question, and has a unique voice. RPS seems to have hired him as a News Editor which is... a choice, I guess. I hope they let him loose, like they did with his 'Starfield' review.
I'm not a fan of Katharine's because I personally don't get on with her burnished marketing persona from the hardware deals days, but she's capable of writing good stuff, even if I don't necessarily agree with it (FF8 is the best Final Fantasy and has the best FF soundtrack? Fack offffffff).

Well, I barely regard any FF as a game in the first place, so I have no comment on that :p

Oh wow, Troika (VTM: Bloodlines, Arcanum, ToEE) pitched an immersive sim as BG3. Dude, that could've been great!
