I was doin the thieves guild quests and finally I finished the Gentleman Jim Stacey qust where you're supposed to kill the Fighters Guild Grandmaster (final quest). Then I went back and he said that he wanted to take a vacation (or something like that). At that time I hadn't done the Bal Molagmer quests. When I came back he was gone. The Bal Molagmer quest was still there and now I can't finish it or start the new ones. Can someone plz help me!!??

You answered your question in your post, once you've finished with main questline for the theives guild you can't do the bal molagmar quests, as you may have guessed, you can't do the fighter's guild either.

thanks for the reply, I guess I'm not missing too much as you don't get anything for doing the quests. It's just kind of annoying having the quest in the quests menu.

Assuming you are playing PC you can always load morrowind in the construction kit, open "dialogue" under "character" in the menu, then at the top right there is a bunch of buttons saying topics, voice, greetings etc, stroll over into journal and then try to find your quest in the list of journal indexs, I think it will begin with TG but since it is a side quest for the theives guild it might be slightly different; find the journal index in that quest which ends the quest (it should have a little checkbox ticked) and write down the number of that specific index as well as the code for the quest then when playing, open the console and imput Journal questcode indexnumber
Of course if your not crazy like me then you wouldn't bother, but it would bother me.
