Hey, after I disabled the generator, I didn't want to hop on the copter because I know for a fact I left some of the highrise areas to explore later. Trouble is I'm having no success getting back to those areas. Is it possible to get back to the lift from the generator area on foot?

Follow a back alley from the area - there are cameras and maybe a turret, as well as a chain link fence you have to climb, but that gets you out, I think.

And remember you can (in a pinch) use grenades to climb up walls.

You can stick them on the wall and jump on top of them. With only two, you can scale any vertical surface you wish to.

That's interesting, but I wonder why they don't detonate from the player's proximity.

Wouldn't be much use as prox mines if you set them off yourself, really.

If you're worried about anyone else setting them off, you can just frob 'em once after placing, since it's one frob event to defuse, second frob event to remove.

Huh. Just tried it. Never noticed that before. I always planted them and then hightailed it. In Thief they go off after you set them even if it's you.
