Just before I start mumbling on, i'd just like to show my appreciation to all the people who make a site like this possible and all the good folk who contribute to these forums.
I've visited this site on many occasions (kinda hoping for the news that Looking Glass have reformed and the first game on the agenda is Terra Nova 2 with full multiplayer support!) mainly trying to get Terra Nova running on my modern day PC but to no avail.
Anyway onto my tale...
In my office today, its just so happens they were having a spring clean, throwing out all the old 3rd hand printers and used furniture. Anything we wanted we could keep otherwise it was getting binned. I managed to bag myself a complete working PC out of the rubble.
Pentium 166
64MB of Ram
Creative Labs 3dfx Banshee
2Gb Hard Drive
CD Rom
Beauty! Got home this evening, Formatted the Hard Drive, Windows 98 on, Terra Nova Demo downloaded, Restart in DOS, VesaFix and Mouse.com in memory! TNDEMO... Gaming Heaven! Needless to say I am now in the process of getting an old SB16 and full copy of the game again...

Aha... getting it working the ol' fashioned way :)
Good stuff. I hope you find that sb16 soon! (or alternatively, TN also supports the following: Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro, Sound Blaster AWE32, Ensoniq SoundScape, Gravis Ultrasound, Gravis UltraMax, Roland RAP-10, and anything else fully-compatible with one of them).

In case you aren't aware of it, Irrational Games are working on the new Tribes game, "Tribes Vengeance", and for the first time in a Tribes game it has a full single-player campaign. It may not be Terra Nova, but it's single-player first-person jet-packing goodness, and of course it has multi-player as well! Could well be worth a look for TN fans.

Managed to snag an old AWE64 ISA card. What a difference it makes playing the game with the sound. Grabbed the full game off eBay for £6...another bargain! Just gotta wait on it arriving now.
Yeah Tribes Vengance looks pretty sweet, the past Tribes games have been very focused on Multi Player so I hope we get a decent single player campaign. Terra Nova had that magic. It was one of those games that just made you want to keep completing each mission. I just wish Looking Glass could have released that Multi Player patch... :(
