I have reached about Level 50 with my Wood Elf Mage/Thief character. Combining glass armor/Curias of the Savior's Hide w/ an enchanted Daedric Claymore (60 + 35 - 75 pts health damage), everything is so easy now. It's still fun to slaughter enemies en mass though, and there is still so much unexplored country left in Morrowind that I still can't help but wonder what I'll find next... Here I come Dagoth Ur!

The unexplored territory is more or less the same as anything you've seen. There's many daedric shrines scattered about and those are the more interesting places. But they're all very similiar with exception to a few. The cities are monotonous and the hardest guy is Vivec.... kill him....

If you set the difficulty to 100, vivec's spell does 6X more damage... makes it alot more interesting...

In addition to making sure the game is set at 100 for difficulty, try to defeat the game at the lowest possible level. They say it can be beaten with a character as low as level 6 - try to match or beat that! And then of course post it with bragging rights...

I put the smack down on Dagoth Ur last night. I was expecting a bit more of a fight from the big man (Dagoth Ur).... oh well.
JoJangles on 31/10/2002 at 03:27
Unfortunately with the combat system in MW, it's very easy to dodge spells... I remember fighting Dagoth Ur 2.0 the first time, I didn't read any of that book nonsense with the hammer and dagger thing. So I just danced around him and his 2k dmg spell or something with my Daedric axe... especially with the AI that moves the missile proportionaly to where you 'will' be. So you can exploit that etc.
It wasn't made to be a hard game, or one that required you to think. It was made so anyone and his grandma could beat it if they could stand running through so much.

Yeah...I am having the same problem. I have most all my primary and secondary skills up to 100 and many of the misc skills are at least 70, I use an enchanted ebony mace that does 41-45 additional damage. This game is getting so easy. I am now just wandering around trying to collect all the games artifacts and kill as many golden saints as possible. Basically pointless wandering... Also, if you are becoming bored with the game a very, very fun thing to do is set all your attributes and skills up to 5000 and run around (seems to be about the speed of sound, hehe) and go kill dagoth ur, except this time, he should die wiht one easy hit from a daedric weapon. Vivec will easily die at your hand as well. Plus, goto a town and kill the entire town for amusment, really makes you feel powerful.
