I've got an .AVI file on my computer that won't delete, the computer says that's its apparently open in another program, which it isn't.
Is there any way to see if it is actually open in any program and delete it?
I'm on Vista btw.

I had something like this once. Apparently it was something to do with account permissions. I never really found out for sure, but there's a program called Unlocker that bypasses any 'in use' type of thing that won't go away.
That situation was on XP though. Aand you'll have to google for the program I'm afraid.

I had the same problem with a few video files, and it was windows explorer trying to read the video information that was stopping me from deleting it.
The fix: Run cmd ,and then del the file the dos way.
