Not sure if you can say the liberals will get in yet ... whoever offers the biggest bribe to the bush wins.
What an amazingly shitty campaign from labour.

I lay the blame for the hung parliament squarely at the feet of fucking K Rudd. Earlier this year there was a hung parliament in our SA state elections, neither party could form a coalition so both the labour and liberal leaders had a meeting with the governer general who got to choose who was the leader.
Vernon, there are still two undecided seats, so we really don't know what's going to happen.

Definitely the worst election I have ever seen, on all fronts. Hopefully the fiber optic network will put Labor over the top with the indies.
Jesus, Abbot's only leader of the Libs because the old boys swallowed Monckton's horseshit on climate change. He put 'stop the boats' as his fourth policy bulletpoint. We can't elect this guy. We just can't.

As Bill Bryson put it in In a Sunburned Country ... after reading that a former Prime Minister of Australia disappeared while walking on the beach, he wondered, one, what kind of country just loses its Prime Minister? And two, putting that aside, how is it that no one in the rest of the world had any idea that Australia just lost its Prime Minister? He just vanishes into thin air and nobody has ever heard anything about it.
That said, all my Aussie FB friends are always talking about it in their updates. You have a definite shot at having a cluster-fuck as big as the American 2000 election. Hang in there. :thumb:

He vanished into thick-ish water really. And then we built a commemorative swiming pool in his honour.

Fun fact: this is the first Australian election to be contested between two British-born leaders since 1914
But a hung parliament, eh... I guess the Aussies couldn't choose between the racists and the Stalinists.

I assume that refers to the internet filter. The ALP at least are open about their half assed social engineering. They're so un-authoritarian it's actually kind of sweet. I'll almost feel kinda sorry for them when it founders so dismally. Which it will. As suspicious as it sounds to any dyed in the wool libertarian type (and rightly so, I might add), a government with a few bad ideas in the mix is actually better than one with none at all. Such is the state of politics these days.
