so i remember reading that the best way to get unlimited aug upgrade canisters is to have full inventory when you meet Jamie in Tong's lab. Apparently, you say "hold on while i drop some gear" and than jamie drops the canister - but that doesn't happen.
i don't believe that it works anyway but, does it?
is this sensitive to certain versions of DX?
is there any way to cheat add aug upgrades??????

If I remember right, Jamie doesn't actually drop the canister, but it mysteriously appears in your inventory behind the item you have in top left corner. I don't remember if this works in the updated version(s), though.

I stumbled upon an Aug Upgrade glitch on one of my first plays through DE, but it's quite a bit through the game - when you meet Gary Savage on the top of the land module for the underwater labs. Basically, you need to have:
- saved Tiffany (no lass, no bonus, natch.)
- a full inventory
- at least one Aug Upgrade Canister in your inventory
When you approach Savage, he will talk to you and thank you, then attempt to give you a canister. Naturally, you can't accept, so he drops one on the floor, but one also appears in your inventory behind the other items. Repeat as necessary, then pick up the ones on the floor, and upgrade as appropriate. Voila! Free upgrades!
NB. You also get 200 skill points every time, so long as your game isn't patched...

[Edit: Now that I think about it, this method might work for the Jamie scenario you describe above - have a go anyway]

I found a glitch that only happened once. It was in the airfield and I was collecting Recoil Mods for when I got an Assault Shotgun. I picked one up somewhere and it kept spawning new ones in the top left.
Pretty useful :)

I think this may happen any time someone is scripted to give you something. I started a new game recently, and for some reason I was saving a couple Accuracy upgrades. When I talked to Carter the second time (after Castle Clinton and the NSF generator) he wanted to give me another Accuracy upgrade. My inventory was full and I already had one, so J.C. said he needed to make room first. An Accuracy upgrade magically appeared behind the first object in my inventory and a second one dropped at my feet, and Carter waited a few seconds, then tried to give me some more, just like when Gary Savage wants to give you that Augmentation Upgrade.
I don't think this works with stackable items (multitools, grenades, wine, etc) because you can't have a second stack of them, and ammo doesn't have the same bug because it's handled seperately from the rest of your inventory. I had a full supply of 7.62 ammo when I got those Accuracy upgrades, and Carter kept saying he had more to give me until I fired a few shots and talked to him again, but he didn't drop any extra clips.
It also doesn't work with items you're buying. The inventory check cancels the transaction earlier in that case. There aren't a whole lot of occasions when anyone just gives something to J.C., but I'm going to try to check every such case I can find. I'm guessing it should happen any time someone gives you something for free that you already have one of and no inventory space for another.
Oh, and this is in the GOTY version.

I've used it to get a nice stack of recoil mods from the creepy mechanic at the airfield -- and he's selling.
