Well, I came back after a long absence and maybe a little lurking if you guys didn't mind. :)
But anyway, I found some problems on stereo output while playing Thief 2. I finally got Thief 2 to work on my new rig (Win 7 x86), but the one only thing I noticed after putting my headsets on, the audio while ingame doesn't seem to be rendering 3D-audio. This also happens even when I'm using the speaker outputs, even though the audio testing on the ingame menu was okay, but not ingame.
The sound card that I'm currently using is a Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty with the latest drivers downloaded/installed, and I also found the EAX feature cannot be enabled on Thief 2 audio options.
Some other notes:
The only patch I installed was the tafferpatcher that I came across while lurking on the forums, which finally put an end to the DDFix nightmare with Windows 7 and crappy-textures :laff:
I also have an onboard audio in the mobo, but I don't use that as my long-run audio output.
Also, the hardware acceleration option ingame was enabled.
Is there something that I need to tweak to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.
