I seem to have a permanent negative applied to my personality and which ever stat is below that one( i am at work w/o my box so i don't remember which one) There is no drain posted on my magic menu where they usually are, so what gives? Each one is in red and always five points lower than it should be. Anyone know what's wrong with them?
thanks

I think you just need to restore your attribute with either a restore potion or spell ;)
cus sometimes mobs will cast something on you with a touch or what not and drain your attributes without a icon popping up to name it...

Thanks! I'll try that, suppose I should have thought of that first. BTW I just tried to knock off those brothers at Dren Plantation (thieve's guild job) and I can't even get a hit in on those fools. Is there something I don't know or am I just going to have to go level and come back?

They can be a tough pair, remember that one only shows up when you start fighting the other and usually behind you with a jink blade. Speaking of which, using a jink blade would be a good idea. What level are you?

Guess I questioned to soon again, I thought about my situation and decided to guzzle some Sujamma and start wacking. And yeah I had a jinkblade on me, so I froze them and then beat them unmerciful with every other procing weapon I had on me :) The restore potions worked to. Now my only problem is figuring out what to do! I'm lvl 14, a master thief with a 90 percent unexplored continent in front of me :)

Oh I certainly will, I should have said what to do first It's not the lack of options that confuses me but their proliferation...I have no idea were to begin. I think I'll look into freeing slaves, I don't know if it's possible but the taciturn slaves seem to allude to the possiblity. I hate seeing my fellow Kahjit enslaved!

Some slaves are able to be freed, some arn't. A number of Telvanni slaves (the ones that say "There is no hope") are definately un-freeable, but also some of the ones that ask for a key also cannot be freed, I believe. Try getting a Detect Key spell to ease the key search a little and try talking to the slaves after you free them. After a while, they should mention the Twin Lamps (which can open up a few slave-related quests when mentioned to the right people).
As for what to do next, I would suggest joining a guild or exploring a city you have yet to visit. Either one will get you to new places and talking to new people. It is fun and potentially rewarding. If you're interested in some less structured fun, simply pick a direction and start walking. There are tons of caverns, mines, tombs, strongholds, and ruins just waiting to be explored. Also, keep an eye out for some of the random quests that dot the land (people in need of escort or delivery services, and a couple of unfortunate male nords with woman troubles :) to name a few)
Have fun!
