Didn't the IRA's truck bomb in Manchester get a parking ticket ?
The media reports unusual events which people want to hear about.
Listening to the reactions, it's almost as if the government, police, and media all want there to be terrorism so they can benefit from the resulting public concern.
I think they do sometimes as well.. Thank goodness the perpetrators were incompetent. I guess it is to much to hope they will give up. I don't understand their logic on who they picked. Unless they thought they were easy targets.

My brother was just telling me how there were 3 fully armed police officers with submachine guns outside the Tunnel and the Garage in glasgow city centre last night (of course he didn't notice since he was getting chucked out of the Cathouse ha!)
Also its funny how all the Scots are like "ya big woman, ya didnt even have the balls to get into the building! fanny, moan doon the pub" with regards to the attempted attacks.
In all honesty, if theo is crash a jeep into the DOORS of an airport, then even manage to bugger best they can dthat up and THEN GET CAUGHT;
i'm not exactly shivering with fear.
Sure theres disruption but in all honesty i'm happy the police and services responded to this and appear to have made good inroads overnight with the network across the country. Just so long as it doesnt affect my flights to and from NYC next week...hah.

Well, if the bomb had gone off,
Tiger Tiger would certainly have been burning bright... maybe these guys are William Blake fans?

Or because they want people to be careful and report suspicious activity like this?

Of course they do. Governments (or at least, socialist and conservative ones) want to concentrate power in the hands of the state, so anything that makes people concerned for their wellbeing is politically advantageous to them.

Tiger Tiger isn't that bad. Anyway, great job of the London police.
