At the start of Deus Ex

Hi, this is going to sound strange, have just purchased Deus Ex for PC running on XP. I'm in the training situation, I'm having a problem with the LAM, I have been told to throw a LAM down a corrider and wait for it to explode and a door will open, this I have done...but no explosion!!! what am I doing wrong?

Any help appreciated.

I just tested this and it works for me. Are you sure your throwing the LAM (left mouse) and not trying to just drop it with the drop key?

Once you release it you should hear a few beeps before it explodes.

Thanks, you're absolutely right, I was using the tab key, once I used the left button it worked great.
