All skills increase over time, so long as you use them. Nothing decreases without use UNLESS you go to jail.

If by inside you mean in jail, then yes security and sneak can increase.

You need to peg him with a ranged slowfall spell, I think. If you do, you get the amazing Icarian Ring, which lets you jump incredible distances AND survive!
There is no such thing. There is an Icarian amulet which is added by a mod made by a modder I used to know but he dissappeared a few years ago.

To me, it feels good to actually die in Morrowind. The aspiration for Godhood is fine and dandy but if you really want a challenge try limiting yourself and setting up skill caps through the CS. Its much more enjoyable too, because (unless you leave all the corpses) once everything is dead theres nothing left to do.

This being my first "proper" run, I'm avoiding mods except the No-CTD patch. Maybe the, um... "Enhanced Bodies" mod if I get bored. Artificial skill caps sound like masochism.
Like playing a game all the way through with only one weapon, wtf?
that was sarcasm plz noone tell TNT about this :p

Actually, I agree. There's an old game for the SNES called 'E.V.O' (very cool). The point is to evolve your character to defeat enemies. But some people try to play the game without evolving, for the challenge. I suppose if you're that good... But the whole point of the game is to evolve!
Eh.
I'd get the Better Bodies mod, if purely for aesthetic reasons.

Favorite activity of the day: Jumping up somewhere glitchy with my 100 Acrobatics and raining death down on melee enemies way too hard for me. I discovered this in some ruins in the vicinity of Hla Oad an it seems to be a good way to raise my Marksman skill (which appears to affect nothing btw)
Regarding the questionable locational damage: I wear Light Armor with no helmet. Every so often in melee combat, I get an unarmoured skill raise, presumably from a head hit.
Conversely, if I shoot an armored guard in the chest then he only loses about 15% health, but a shot at the neck drops them by 70% or more.
And about E.V.O.: I can't find it in my SNES ROM game collection - was it released in a strange region or with a different name?

Nope. Of course, I can always <s>send it to you</s> tell you to buy the game, you lazy man.
I suppose that's enough evidence for me, though I think the game just sees if you're wearing any armor. If you're not wearing boots, for example, every so often you'll gain a point in unarmored (probably for every five or so in your other armor class if you're otherwise fully armored.)
I honestly don't know much about the mechanics behind the game though :thumb:

That's what I like about this game - while the System Shock community is trying to decompile the original game and stuff the sequel's engine to the limits, Morrowind fans just PLAY the game :D
I suppose it's the fact that Morrowind is designed to be modded, with the CS included and a modular game system, that makes it easier to achieve what you want in the game without HAVING to delve into the code.
I hope modding survives Hot Coffeegate :grr:

Then again, I've replayed System Shock 1 and 2 several times, yet I have no inclination whatsoever to fully replay Morrowind. The whole game is just too huge to tackle again, especially since it's not actually that much different on the second run.

The Hot Coffee Mod has been blown far, far out of proportion.
For starters, it isn't a 'mod' in the sense of the word. If anything, it's more an Easter Egg or Unlockable Cheat. It was hardcoded into the game - with voice and everything. It wasn't modded, the person behind 'unlocking' it just had to add a few lines of extra code and that's it.
If you watch the minigame (google it if you must; I have the PS2 version and it's too much trouble unlocking it) you'll see that there's not that much to even see. The female figure is crudely... textured. And CJ (TJ? I've not really played the game too much) keeps all his clothes.
The game is rated M, which limits the audience to 17. If you're 17 and you're playing a game like San Andreas, and you haven't seen things like the Hot Coffee Mod (sorry, but I have to diss teenage guys everywhere), something is seriously wrong.
As a side note, I'm well aware teenage girls play it as well. But the vast majority of those gamers are guys, and I doubt girls would even be playing the dating minigame. Still, the girls probably wouldn't be too bothered either.
I hate how adults and the higher-ups assume that they know what's best for us. Did they ask us? No, otherwise they'd realize, "Hey, the kids don't even care. And if we hadn't blown this out of proportion, some of them might not have even heard of the Hot Coffee Mod and gone to see how to unlock it."
Adults. :erg:
