Firstly:
I love morrowind it is teh_roxxorz and the best game EVAR
.
BUT. I have a Wood Elf "Shadow" (Marksman, Sneak, Security, Acrobatics, Illusion") at level 8 12, with a Daedric longbow and Dark Brotherhood armour.
He absolutely owns everything I've encountered so far. I've used ONLY bows and have already completed all the quests and dungeons in the Balmora region. It's a nice change to be OVERPOWERED for once, but is there any point where the game gets challenging?
Hell, I can't even die when I want to. I scoffed a couple of Icaran Flight scrolls and flew across the continent without a scratch, every try. It feels like cheating! I can take out anyone in 2 headshots, with normal chitin arrows. I've managed to break the main quest by killing Caius as well as the entire Fighter's guild without effort. (I didn't save)
If only all games were this easy.

Level 8? Oh yes. If you decide to wear your soles down a bit, you'll find a lot tougher opponents. The Grazelands supports random Daedra out in the middle of nowhere. Daedric shrines will also have daedra. Don't forget about inside the Ghost Gate as well.
I wasn't aware headshots did more damage than body shots?

Damage isn't location specific. A random location is chosen and the damage is determined based on the armour on that location.
Aiming for the head doens't make a difference.

lol, bragging are we? well today, i wanted to test out how powerful alchemy could be. i now have a character with 44 million intelligence and i wont have to rest for either magica or health to replentish because for about the next 150 days in game time, i am getting 300000 hp a second (funny, i only have 52 hp to begin with) and 440000 magica a second, from onr restore hp potion and one magica restore potion and i've got 5 more of each. also tried out some fortify agility (NO ONE CAN HIT ME, BIATCH!!) and i reloaded after i found out high strength broke my weapon in one hit
i'm set to level up 2 or 3 times in a row after i actually start going to sleep too, i'm only at level 4 right now.
HAHAHAHA THIS IS GREAT!!!! :ebil:

It doesn't matter how much HP a second you get, if someone hits you for 52 damage or more, you're dead meat :thumb:
Really though, that just makes the game boring.

...and also, enemies are generated based on your level. So since you're level 8, you get pretty wimpy enemies. ;)
daniel on 10/8/2005 at 16:03
really? time to lvl up then!
oh yeah, i missed a digit, i have 446 million intelligence. realized it when i made a fortify personaility potion and got 2 million with one potion

So, < level 8 Daedra? :D
Cliff Racers + Bow = The Win
My current project is trying to pin that falling mage with an arrow. I SHALL SAVE YOU!
RyushiBlade on 10/8/2005 at 17:38
You need to peg him with a ranged slowfall spell, I think. If you do, you get the amazing Icarian Ring, which lets you jump incredible distances AND survive!
Or, you know. You might get nothing. I haven't really done it.

Been done ;)
I think I kept landing on those gradient mushroom things, but I don't jump as far as the guy in that 7 minute speedrun. Am I doing it wrong?
UPDATE: Are my eyes crapping out, or do some skills INCREASE after time inside, such as Sneak and Security?
Much cheaper than trainers :p
