I have finished the main quest and all guilds and organizations quests (I have highest ranks possible)... except Ashlanders and Blades.
How can I find more quests? Where is someone from Blades (Caius is gone) or Ashlanders who is able to reward me with higher rank? How can I get higher rank from Ashlanders and Blades?

Blades are impossible to raise rank in any further. Remember, when Caius leaves he promotes you and says that you are the ranking operative in Vvardenfell. As for the Ashlanders I don't think you can get any farther than House Father or whatever rank it is.

I thought that it is possible to be promoted, because the game shows higher ranks and conditions that have to be met in order to get them...

Answer A: It was originally planned, but removed.
Answer B (the more likely one): Take a look in the TESCS. The way factions work is that a playable and nonplayable are the exact same thing. Your rank determines your dialogue options in a lot of cases. So rather than make a seperate faction so you think you are high levelled, you were just allowed to join two (effectively) NPC factions.

Well, it would difficult to be promoted as a Blade when you're the highest ranking one on Vvardenfell. :)
In the case of the Ashlanders, you're only a friend to them, not an actual tribe member. That's probably one possible explaination.

So it is impossible to become Master Spy... What a pity! ;)
Thanks for all the answers!

You said in the opening thread that you had played through the main guest
but did not complete the blades missions. I thought that the blades missions
were the main guest.

Yes, but bukary was referring to whether he could get a higher rank from the Blades or the Ashlanders. Would have been possible to rise in the ranks of the Blades if Caius or some other high-ranking Blade returned to Vvardenfell after the main quest ended, but since none did you're stuck with being Operative or whichever rank he left you with.

Do further ranks actually exist within the game, even if they're unreachable? I would have thought so for the Ashlanders at least, to accomdate the tribe leaders you meet.
If so, maybe a small mod could be written to grant Ashlander promotions as a reward for completing the main quest? Not that it would have any effect on things, but... an implausibly large collection of high-ranking faction memberships is part of the fun of this game.

I'm not sure, but I believe ranks for both Blades and Ashlanders extend as far as ranks in other factions go. I'll have to take a look in TESCS when I get home.
As for a mod, it is possible. Personally, I'd prefer more tasks to complete to achieve those ranks, though. What tasks you'd recieve is a bit of a mystery...
For the Ashlanders perhaps you do a variety of tasks in regards to the Tribunal, trying to get rid of them.
For Blades... perhaps some more spy-oriented missions. With Dagoth Ur gone, who knows what would be done. Someone high-ranking in the Blades would have to arrive in Vvardenfell to hand out the tasks, though. But, who knows. Maybe you're tasked with collecting information on the Great Houses and such, figuring out their plans...
