How do I turn it on? Is it the robot-looking thingy at the dwemer ruins or something else?
sappe on 26/8/2003 at 19:33
yup that's the one

How to get it working..?
..or should I just drown into my own stupidity...after 18+ years of computer gaming,
I still haven't figured this out.
Maybe I have played wrong games before this...

It's not a robot thingy- IIRC, there is a giant dwemer robot thing in a corridor somewhere, but the ash storm machine is in a circular room with a central big pillar with a walkway around it. There is a protruding part with levers. When you operate them, pictures change on the wall opposite. The ash one is fairly self-explanatory. You get a journal note when the storms start up.

Thanx again...
I had a slight problem in finding it...
Not anymore.
Now I have a little problem with this Helseth guy...he wants me to get more info
of them attacks, but I simply can't find anymore.
And where/what is that Clockwork City?
RyushiBlade on 27/8/2003 at 20:41
The Clockwork City is the refuge and base of Sotha Sil (one of three man gods of the Tribunal.) While Vivec and Almalexia were fairly public people, Sotha Sil retreated to his city and is said to be 'changing the world from inside.' Or something like that. The exact where abouts are unknown, though I think I read somewhere it's located in the Black Marsh.
Now with the official history lesson over, you can get inside the clockwork city easily enough. Since you haven't beaten the game, I won't tell you how you'll go there afterwards. As you are, go see Almalexia. She'll transport you to the City.
Just some friendly advice: Get some restore health potions. Trust me. And save the fortify speed potions your get from some of the fabricants.
Dear people, please help a newbie. There is no circular room matching the above description in my game in Mournhold drarven ruins. There IS a door blocked by "collapsed rocks" called "Passe of the Walker". Is the room behind there? How can I move the *censored* rocks?
Thanks in advance for a clue.
Pisces on 20/3/2004 at 07:16
Yep, it is behind the collapsed rocks, activate them with a dwemer satchel pack on you. they can be found from around the dwemer ruins, if I remember rightly there is a couple in a chest behind locked door. And if I look in the CS then there is some in a chest in Hall of winds and some others in a chest in Radac's forge(I think you need to get past collapsed rocks to get here)
If you lost the dwemer satchel packs somewhere irretrable use the console command player->additem dwemer_satchel00 3
