I got the game with my graphics card. Haven't installed it yet. I've never heard of the game before, what's it like?

It's a first-person fantasy role-playing game. It was envisaged as a spiritual successor to the two "Ultima Underworld" games from Looking Glass.
One of its more interesting features is the magic system. You cast spells by tracing runic symbols in the air (shown with a glowing trail) using the mouse. It's quite a nice system (IMO) that makes the player actually _do_ something to cast spells.
There's a thread in the forum listing a lot of reviews (do a search), or else go to arx.rpgdot.com (another fan site) and look at them there.
