the heal spell is effective in a small area around the player... also as the heal potion ! if you're close enough to Kultar, drinking the potion cure him at the same time ! does it work on your ennemies ?

You can also dubble click on the heal potion and then click on him if you dont need to be healed. I think they should have included some alchemy tools in the demo...

Interesting approch, I never thought of that myself. Thanks for the tip. :)
Anyway,
I just tried to finish the demo a bit faster than I normally would, and it took me 5 minutes and 41 seconds from the the moment I woke up in the cell till I got the "you've completed the arx demo" note at the last level. And that's counting the loading-level time as well, but I did press ESC to skip all the dialog when possible and I didn't let Kultar out of his cell or go exploring or collecting items. Just running through the levels.

Yeah, that's the way I tried before but somehow it wouldn't work for me. But I'll keep on trying till I get the hang of it. :) Cheers!

You have to be close to him and try clicking the potion on his head...

Ok, Glorofin, I'll try getting it right the next time.
Though I wonder if Kultar deserves it, he attacked (without warning) and killed me once from behind when I was trying to open the door to get the ingredients for the applepie.

Those NPCs at the tavern are a tough crowd indeed.
Tried talking to the woman in the tavern but she insisted that I needed a bigger purse (more gold I take it) so I went upstairs and gambled a little, but no matter how much gold I had she was still insisting she'd rather have a man with a bigger purse. That's what I call a femalecharacter virtually "true to life" :cheeky: (OOooops just a joke, girls!).
That whining NPC upstairs that is fed up with having chicken everyday, well I filled the table up with fish, cheese, applepie and veggies, but the guy still complained about having to eat chicken. (What an ungrateful b**stard, no?) :cheeky:
Well, you can't please'em all.

I find another way to kick the goblin ass :
attract him near Am Shaegar cell, and then run to the wooden gate and destroy it, the stupid guard will fall !

Do you find his body when you jump in the pit ?
Because it would be too bad to lose a precious carrot. :)
Dubs on 12/4/2002 at 10:28
No, there is no body at the bottom of the pit,
adios carrot and note from Anatol !

:erg: hmmm, I sure hope this doesn't mean agressive NPCs don't follow you past level borders...
Although - on second thought - the same thing was the case in UW. Didn't bother me at all....
