Oh, I feel dumb. That makes things much easier. I didn't think the developers would overlook something as obvious as that!
Yeah, some of the actions really are not easy to find. For example you can sort the inventory by double-clicking the inventory icon or open all bags at the same time by pressing the use key (F, Enter) while the mouse is over the inventory icon. I'm not sure yet how to best tell the player about these shortcuts.

Another release:
1.0.3: Fixes two regressions introduced in 1.0.2 for Windows users: Crashes on startup after selecting the OpenGL renderer and low mouse sensitivity with the DirectInput backend. There are also fixes for other crashes, rendering glitches, missing speech during cinematics in the Russian and Italian versions, missing ambient sound effects as well as bugs in how some skill values were calculated. ((
https://arx-libertatis.org/releases/1.0.3) announcement)
Any input in the skill / stat / spell modifications discussed in the announcement is appreciated.

I am very glad to see that there are still people who wish to keep Arx from fading into the past. Thank you.
Say, is the white texture bug fixed? That was the only major problem I had with original Arx Fatalis, last time I played it, which was maybe a year ago.

I never experienced that one myself so I can't say for sure - and I don't think whe had a fix specifically for it.
However, we changed a lot in the low-level rendering code (AL no longer uses DX7 but DX9 or OpenGL), especially in the texture loading code, so chances are it's gone.

I've got a couple good hours clocked in, and have yet to see a single pure white texture or any other weird bug. The game runs beautifully, and (as of writing) has yet to randomly crash on me like default Arx used to.
The only complaint I have is that the backback UI is a little too small at 1920x1080. Being able to resize the scale would definitely help here.
Other than that, it's grand.

Does this fix the speed-up-with-system-uptime bug?

Yes, it should. There is still a speedup bug if the game is running too slow, but that one is rare for most people and unrelated to system uptime.

Is there a method to delete key assignments in the options section?

Hm, there doesn't seem to be any way to do this with the gui - I wonder if vanilla AF had a function there that we broke? This is definitely (
https://bugs.arx-libertatis.org/arx/issues/408) something we should look into for a future release.
In the meantime you can manually edit your cfg.ini to remove the assignments. It's (
https://wiki.arx-libertatis.org/Data_directories#Default_directories) located in
*
<profile>\My Documents\My Games\Arx Libertatis for Windows XP
*
<profile>\Saved Games\Arx Libertatis for Vista and newer
*
~/Library/Application Support/ArxLibertatis/ for OS X
*
~/.config/arx/ for Linux, FreeBSD, ...

Thanks for the info!
BTW, if possible could there be added an automatically save after char creation, because I died in the first fight and had to go thru char creation all over again.
