Glad your enjoying it.
B.t.w. How do they handle casting on the X-Box version?

What is this game? I don't have it altho I did see it for the xbox. Is it thieflike in playability?
On another note, I've heard Deus Ex is very Thief-like as well.

Arx Fatalis is a 1st-person RPG more in the style of Ultima Underworld than Thief. (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59165) Read some reviews.
See arx.rpgdot.com for links to X-Box reviews.
Deus Ex has little in common with Thief, but a fair bit in common with System Shock 2. Again, read some reviews.

System shock 2, deus ex, arx fatalis, thief 3 are on my very replayable list.

Arx Fatalis is kind of thief like, it is first person and has the same kind of atmophere as the thief series. i would recomend getting it, it is very unique and a breath of fresh air from the all-to-predictable gaming market

Casting works kinda like a fighting game in some respects. Basically you draw the runes with the digital direction pad.
Press the "X" button to start casting a spell, then press a combination of the direction pad for each rune.
For instance to light torches and such: R (pause till rune starts to draw) D R U (pause) "X" to cast, "Y" to save it for quick-casting.
They have a spellbook with the spells as well as the runes and what their "combos" are.
There is also an "arcade" setting you can turn on which just pops up a window where you select the spell you want to cast.
It works pretty good, I haven't even bothered with using the "arcade" verion of the spell casting, though trying to cast a spell you didn't save for quick-casting while backpeddling can be a pain.
