I was messing around with the magic system, trying to find out new rune shapes, when I accidentally stumbled onto some kind of Ultima Underworld in joke! I think what happened was I wrote U W with the magic interface, and suddenly the workds UW popped up in the middle of the screen and all the textures in the game went really low detail. It was very funny, and almost felt like I was playing UW! I'm gonna go see if I can recreate it now...
Oh, and does anyone know the spell for magic missile? Been trying to find it out for a while...

It seems all you have to do to get to UW mode is put in W at the magic interface. Only problem is I haven't found a way to switch back to regular mode yet, except for restarting the game.

Hmm, that doesn't seem to work for me :( I did figure out two new runes though. One is a square drawn counter-clockwise from the upper right hand corner, and the other is a plain old Z drawn from the top :D

How do you draw that W ???
I tried every possible writing in every possible direction (i.e. \/\/ and |/\| in both left to right and right to left).
And about unknown runes, I found a C-like (curved) and many others (try the "U" in all rotations and directions, etc...) but anyway, it's pointless because you can only cast spells if you own the runes, and if you own them, you know how to draw them...

It isnt a U W or just a W, it is U U for Ultima Underworld. Try making two U symbols.

If you wanna switch back to regular textures just draw the UU (or W...whatever it is) again and bam, its done :)
