Has anyone from Australia here managed to get their hands on Arx yet? It was meant to be here by Sunday (24th Nov), but isn't in any of the shops yet.

Arx Fatalis Next Week

The eagerly awaited PC Role-Playing game Arx Fatalis is on track to be releasing early next week in New Zealand. The game is a classic style dungeon crawl RPG in the mould of Ultima Underworld and has received critcial acclaim overseas. It's one game Gameplanet can't wait to get it's hands on.

I got my copy today from EB in Melbourne. SO it should be available countrywide today as well. There was only 1 copy at my EB though - apparently not enough demand for a release. Another option is to try Red Ant themselves as they are distributing it in Australia. (

WooHoo!!! Finally, I've just manged to lay my hands upon a copy of Arx. It was the only copy available at the shop and the other 3 stores had sold out of their 1 copy each. At least this means that I'm not the only person in Perth to be after it so early in the picture.
Unfortunately, the box art is the one with the ex brothel madam turned new age nature worshipper, rather than the cool looking one with the spell-ready hands that the Poms get.

Damn. That also means it's the DVD case with no printed manual, right? :(
Ah well... I kinda expected as much. I just hoped that we'd get the U.S. style box...

Err, my dvd case has the printed manual.

Yeah i was a bit shell shocked when i got the game and it was in 2 cardboard sleeves taped back to back. Love the game though so it's forgiveable- i guess:D And at least it included a printed manual, if it was some .pdf rubbish i would of cried.
