Shrine of Malacath - It is located in the Sheogorath region on the long island West of Dagon Fel (just West if the Sanctus Shrine island).
Not all Daedra statues give the Daedric quests - only specific ones.

Hrm... I'm pretty sure you have to "use" the altar in the Morag Tong base before the guy will give you the quest. He says Mephala gave him the mission to give to you, so... And yeah, there's way more than one copy of every Daedric statue.

As for the Shrine of Mephala in the Morag Tong guild, I tried 'using' it but nothing happend. I also tried to pre-empt the quest by poisoning the guy in Balmora using bittergreen petals, but I couldn't 'open' his cauldron. Back to the drawing board...
Ryushi: Yeah, it might allow you to skip all the stuff
before getting the Moon and Star, but
after? I think it's a bug. Pain in the ass too. I wanted all the unique magic items you got from the different camps/houses. Yes they're pants, but I wanted them anyway. :p
