I'm just curious to know if anyone has ever found any of these artifacts:
Flash - Endurance +73; Electric Shock -10%
Moonlight - Endurance +103; Electric Shock -10%
Night Star - Radiation +5; Bulletproof Cap +5% (this one was once given to me as a reward for a mission, but I've never actually found it)
Kolobok - Rupture +5%
Soul - Health +600%; Impact -10%; Rupture -10%; Bulletproof Cap -10%
Pelicle - Chemical Burn +30%
The reason why I ask this is because I really spend a lot of time looking for artifacts, but these ones are nowhere to be found. I usually go out at night, and go to all sorts of places, even dangerous ones, looking for new artifacts, but so far I haven't found any of these. Yesterday I found a Goldfish for the first time, in the Agroprom area.
And what's the deal with the artifact counter in the statistics? The value never changes from zero. Isn't it supposed to count how many artifacts we find?

Flash and Moonlight are commonly found near those electrical anomalies. Wild territory behind Bar is a good source for them. They only appear during night though. I found the Soul from one of the Yantar stashes. So far I've seen only one Pellicle, that artifact is pretty much useless but it goes for a nice price.

All I ever find near the electrical anomalies are Sparklers... I know that those other two should also form there, but I've never found them.

Never found any Kolobok, Soul, Urchin or Goldfish so far, but I still may have luck until I finish the campaign.
The best ones I found are Mica (Bleding -400), Mama's Beads (+5 bullet resistance) and Spring (+30 impact resistance) as well as both Battery types.
Yeah, the artifact counter seems to be useless. Originally I expected the artifacts to be far more rare treasures than they really are.

Rare Artifacts
These artifacts are found by sheer luck, from side jobs, (sometimes) on NPCs,
or spawned randomly in supply caches as you go through the game. There's no single method to get them all (unless you mod your datapack and buy the items from modified traders). Remember the Monolith building in Pripyat? That place has several uncommon or rare artifacts the first time you visit (randomized). You might get lucky and find something great, or get shafted and find nothing useful. When you find a rare artifact, keep it even if you think you want to sell it. Rare artifacts have no penalties assigned to them, unlike the anomalous artifacts listed above. Paul Hogarth also added the Kobolok, which was one of those small things simalcrum left behind in a stash somewhere.
Battery-A -- Adds 30% resistance against electric damage
Battery-B -- Adds 30% resistance against burn damage (see below)
Kobolok -- Adds 5% resistance against rupture damage
Mama's Beads -- Adds 5% resistance against bullet damage
Pellicle -- Adds 30% resistance against chemical damage
Spring -- Adds 30% resistance against impact damage

There's usually an Urchin in the underground tunnels in Agroprom. It's in the room where you find the Bloodsuckers. At least I've found it twice there, on both games I've played.
In this game, since I've dedicated myself to finding artifacts, I've already found both Batteries and a Spring, the Goldfish and two Mama's Beads, which I hadn't found in my first game.

Flash and Moonlight are found in electrical anomalies. Keep your eyes open in Wild Territory, they'll likely spawn there.
Night star is a quest reward from a guy in the bar, and can be found found around the trash idol in the monolith headquarters.
Kolobok shows up in late game stashes. There's one in zombieland, that requires navigating a train. A stash in the red forest (former faction leader's goods) also contains them.
Pelicle, there's one always to be found in the passage with Freeman and the Family Gun in the Wild Territory.
Soul, I believe is a quest reward and occassionally shows up in pripyat.
Also, there's a static heat battery artifact in the Millitary Warehouses, north side, along the border, by a pack of dogs and a skeleton.

That explains why I didn't find some rare ones so far - I just don't bother looting many stashes anymore.

In agropom underground theres a corridor which is full of electrical anomalies, near where you first come in, before you go down the spiral stairs. I always seem to find moonlight there. On my first runthrough I didn't find goldfish until I got to the sarcophagus where it's useless anyway since all the enemies have guns. There seems to be some in the tunnel with all the anomalies in agropom surface. Also in agropom, theres a stash under a pylon with (I think) meat chunk in it and a load of boars around there. If you keep following the fencing you get to a kind of barrier with loads of radiation and loads of artifacts, primarily stone flower but there's also a night star. In the dark valley, right by the transition to garbage there's a mamas beads. Mica seems to always be in a pool of green goo in a garage in wild territory which also contains a truck, some burner anomalies and a stash with an LR300, M203 grenade launcher and some other goodies, easily one of the best stashes in the game. I have also found soul in garbage, in the bandit camp west of the car park with Bes and south of the entrance to agropom.
BR796164, your quote is slightly wrong, night star gives 5% bullet resist, not 30%. And looting stashes is your best bet for finding silencers/grenade launchers unless, like me, you modify your game files.
It would have been nice if some artifacts produced more than 5 radiation, since fireball give -20, enough for all your other artifacts to give +5 which kinda makes crystal a little useless considering its rarity. Also, droplets could have been more common in cordon/garbage since by the time you really start to find it, you already have fireball making it pretty useless.

Picked up a Soul artifact in the X18 lab in Dark Valley. Pretty awesome little unit. I've also managed to pick up a Moonlight, Crystal and Mama's Beads, all before getting inside the X18 lab - but I've also been playing very slowly, spending a lot more time crawling around and exploring than actually getting on with the game.

I have Flash equipped and it says +133% endurance...
