I played the game for more than a year. I've only recently 'given it up' in favor of Neverwinter Nights, though it remains installed and ready to play. I think it had a good run, considering I get bored of a game in little more than a week. And I'm still not really bored of it... So who knows? I just hope the next game is better ^.^

(Caesar was the last leader of the Republic, after that was Augustus whats-his-face, first Emperor. Somewhere in like... 127BC, possibly?)
In 29BC, Octavian returned to rome as a hero after killing cleopatra and antony's army in actium, getting control of egypt etc. He was prclaimed Rome's first emporer. But Julius Caesar had the senate make him dictator for a long time.
(Octavian had his name changed to Augustus Caesar, Beloved Ruler, he liked to be called princeps, or first citizen though)

Then the Eastern Empire fell around... 500AD.
Close, but Western Rome fell in 476, Eastern Rome fell when Ottoman Turkish army owned up the Byzantine with a cannon.

Once they were attacking this Jewish city and had it undersiege, and the Jews inside new they were going to die. Instead of allowing themselves to be captured, they picked ten people to kill everyone in the town.
You may be looking for the city of Masada, but I don't remember that 'have ten people kill everyone' bit. I just know that around 80AD, Rome was pissed off at the Zealots, but the zealots killed themselves before the Legion could get up the ramp and through the gates to get the jews.

Roman Empire started in 30 BC or AD I think it was AD.
I'm not sure what exactly you mean by empire. Roma was founded in 753BC, Julius began conquering the Gauls in some 70bc, in 201BC the second punic war ended and Rome more or less had control over Tunis, but they didn't get an emporer until 30BC(or 29, whatever)

Some say Roman Empire (state) lasted....2000 years. From the foundations of Rome (6BC) to the fall of Constantinople to the turks in 1453.
Last I checked 1453 + 6 wasn't 2000, my calculator could just be off, though.
Rome was a state from 753bc to 1476ad, which is over 2000 years.

That's the one! They got other men to kill everyone else because they thought suicide was a sin too. That's why they had only one man actually kill himself.
I can't remember who said what in that post either, so er... yeah ^.^

BACK ON THE SUBJECT!!!!!!!!!
To get em' to wear it set that armour skill to 100, and unarmored to 0. That's what I do.
RyushiBlade on 23/4/2004 at 02:43
Aye, what be this 'it' you speak of?

"it" is the armour he is trying to get the guy to wear.
