If that is the only reason for white rats then that charm is ridiculous.
There's another charm that lets you eat them for mana.

Yeah, where is Digi, anyway? If you're reading this then - Good fucking show! I'm having fun, but not finished yet.

Alright guys... How many charms does everyone have? and what are they?
I got 16, so far.
Twist of Fortune I - Chance for a potion to give full mana.
Healthy Appetite I - Food heals more.
Unnerving Target II - Enemies have a chance to miss with guns.
Whirlwind I - Swing sword faster.
Spiritual Pool - Regenerate mana faster.
Rat Scent - Rats only attack you if you walk closer.
Swift Shadow - Move forward faster while stealth mode. (crouch is as fast as walking)
Throwing Hand - Throw carried objects farther.
Fleet Fighter - Having your weapons out does not slow you down.
Water of Life - Drinking recharges health.
Spirit Water - Drinking recharges mana.
Robust - Potions restore more health.
Albinos - Encounter more white rats.
Clockwork Malfunction - Enemy grenades have a longer fuse.
Strong Arms - Choking is faster (i think twice as fast, takes almost 1 second to fill up the choke bar)
Scavenger - Find ammo in greater amounts.
I was hoping for a way to nonlethal a tallboy... got chased by one it ran into a low ceiling of barbed wires. it died >_>

Picked a few up, but as I'm chasing "Mostly Flesh & Steel" on my first run, I have no clue what they do.

Does that include Bone Charms? I thought that meant you couldn't spend any runes on spells or or enhancements like Agility?

You know, this is weird. Dishonored strikes me as close to what thiefgen thinks Deadly Shadows is like (Thief, but DUMBED DOWN AND ACTIONY AND HURRR!). Yet everyone seems to mostly like it.

It doesn't have the pretense of being a Thief game though. It's billed as a stealthy gizmo-heavy action game and does what it says on the tin. That and it has a Digi & Purah map in it.
Maxmillion on 18/10/2012 at 13:27
And just what is dumbed down?

I had wanted to figure out Drop Assassin, but after 6 Drop Kills (I know it works when I land on top of the guy and slit his throat while he is on the ground in a brief cinematic) the Trophy did not appear. Maybe it's because I was doing it to the exact same character to figure it out and it has to be 5 completely different characters? Also, these were the re-span guards that I had prevoiusly knocked unconscious and magically appeared an hour later, so maybe a glitch there. The same problems happened when I kept having a guy getting shot and killd by his own ally; that Trophy didn't unlock either. This is on the PS3 version.

Being an original IP is certainly a part of it. If this had been called Thief 4 lots of people would be fuming over no lightgem, guard AI's not searching properly, no dousable torches, Blink making it too easy, actiony approach being too viable, etc. But, despite being streamlined compared to the Thief games, it also plainly and simply offers a more enjoyable gaming experience than TDS did.
