Anyways. It'll be interesting to see how the stealth elements play out in this one. The developers are right about Thief's shadow system being too unrealistic.

It isn't something I *minded* about
Thief, but I'm very curious to see a system that addresses some of the weird elements of that game's stealth. Just because
Thief (IMO) still is the best at doing first-person stealth after all this time doesn't mean it can't be improved on.

Took the full stealth/no kills path. Got a boner. Relieved it. Looking for paper towels and a means to buy my new PC.

BTW, here are the system requirements printed on the box, I think they differ slightly from what Arkane posted earlier (and there's no 'recommended' listed):
Requires internet Connection And Free Steam Account To Activate
Games For Windows
Enhanced For:
64-Bit / Multi-Core
System Requirements:
OS - Windows 7/Vista
Processor - 3.0gHz Dual Core Or Better
Memory - 3GB RAM / 9GB Free Hard Drive Space
Video Card - DirectX 9 Compatible With 512MB RAM Or Better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)
Supports Parental Controls On Windows Vista & Windows 7
Supports Xbox 360 Controller For Windows
Increased performance will be noticed on more powerful systems.
Specs seem steep. That's roughly a midrange gaming desktop rig circa late 2010 or early 2011, or a current high end gaming laptop.

TotalBiscuit has just uploaded his "WTF is" of Dishonored, previewing the PC version of the game. Needless to say, there are probably some spoilers so you may not want to watch.

I haven't watched the whole video yet (it's more than 40 minutes), so perhaps I'll edit my post and add my thoughts after I've finished watching it.
EDIT: I'm not going to go in-depth about what TB had to say, I'll leave that to others. But here are some points that interested me and stood out. For most of you, some of this is stuff you already know. You'll have to humor me, because I haven't been following the development of Dishonored that closely.
- Clearly inspired by Thief
- Uses Steamworks (only, no other DRM)
- Levels are reasonably large, yet loading times are almost non-existent on PC
- Game optimization/performance seems good on PC
- Game apparently applies a "watercolor" filter to everything, kind of like the yellow "piss" filter in DX:HR
- Options and controls are well done on PC (including option to play on a gamepad)
- FOV slider only goes up to 85 (Why?)
- There appears to be loot glint at the start (probably for tutorials), but later you frob objects
- Leaning is definitely there
- RPG elements appear minimal, mainly focused on action or stealth approaches
- AI is apparently quite good at normal difficulty
- All help/hints can be turned off in the options menu
- About 12 chapters/missions
- Contender for game of the year, in TB's opinion
