Man, what's with the heavy handedness of the slow mo? You'd almost think there was a bullet time feature for this game. And those walkers are just a little bit too City 17 (yes, I know who's on board for the game, but still).
Other than that though, the gameworld looks very interesting, and hopefully the stealth aspects will be implemented effectively. Be nice at some point to get an actual gameplay trailer, but yeah, I'm definitely on board with this.

Looking good and agreed most anticipated game of 2012! Dan, was that Harveys work? :sly:

I'm actually surprised at how much I'm looking forward to this.

OH GOD LITTLE SISTERS.
Looks really nice and, although it's not a "proper" gameplay trailer, I like it much better than the all-cgi trailers games get these days. Would be nice to see this "format" replacing those (while still getting proper gameplay trailers later on).

The music makes it.
I watched at work first, without sound, and found it cringeworthy.
I watched it again at home with the sound, and it was the first time Dishonored actually clicked with me.

Not too crazy about that trailer. Still, glimpses of some nice stuff in there. I particularly liked the way he flips open his knife before getting stabby. And nice to see how melee-combat-centric it is.

This just means you were fooled by the marketing efforts of Arkane/Zenimax. This does not mean you will actually like the game.

Does anyone know where console kiddies hang out on the Internets? I have no idea. Do console kiddies hang out on the Internets? Typing stuff must be tricky. Steam Forums is the closest thing I can think of to mainstream gamers, and it's getting a wholly mixed reception there :(
So I'm wondering, is this getting any kind of reaction from non PC gamers?

The trailer footage was obviously aimed at a different audience than me, and I know the game can be played in other ways than "kill'em all". But so far, I'd found Dishonored's setting missing some sort of divine spark that would make it come alive. The music provided that spark for me, and I can now honestly say I'm looking forward to the game.
Also, it would seem that the track was recorded for the game - the version of the lyrics references whaling and rats, and doesn't appear on google without reference to Dishonored,

Standard reaction is "Hope it has third person".
