But the real question is, will it be as Super Fucking Subversive as Blacksite?

It has the guy who designed City 17 doing the art design, so I suspect it will be incredibly ultra super fucking subversive to the max extreme.

The only thing that grates is the name itself...

this sounds really good. but I can't really imagine how the game will play though.
All the scenarios it described put it in the infiltration gameplay. I imagine you're hopping fences, slipping through the seams of patrol routes, and taking out guys & cameras with a silencer or from a distance, hopefully with multiple routes. Project IGI was like this and some DeusEx missions; a lot of FPS have at least 1 or 2 missions like that for that matter. But still less than a full on sneaker like Splinter Cell or Thief. (My FPS experience is seriously dated =/ .)

It says you don't have to kill anyone, so it could end up being a bit like Thief or a non-violent DX playthrough. Actually, based on the cover art, the description, and the people involved, my guess is that it's going to end up being quite a bit like the first DX. Arx and Dark Messiah have some of the most satisfying stealth gameplay outside of Thief so I'm expecting good things if they can keep Harvey from taking too much acid.

I'm just confused about "brutal violence" versus "without killing anyone". Is it depending on objectives or rather player-choice in how they wanna play. Is there a nameless guy we play or rather a character. episode-based infiltrations or do they wanna go full-story within the open world ? AAAAAAHHHH... all those questions ... gadgets, traps, will there be supernatural elements or a rather "quasi-realistic what-if" world ?

Sounds like you'll be able to play it violently if you so choose, or without killing anyone if you prefer, like Deus Ex and Thief.
Plus, I'm sure Digital Nightfall and Purah will make sure it's stealthy enough for us!

I hope that Raf will also be here to talk about the game when more info is released.
Digital Nightfall on 9/7/2011 at 13:53
I hope he will be, too.
And I do believe the GI blurb is talking about player choice. :)
