Good God. This is just a mash-up every idea from the past few years, including the way it looks.

Hmm, you hate that. But look at it the other way around; say you play a game and only see 20% of the content. How does that make you feel as a gamer?
If someone misses 80% of a game, chances are that he doesn't like the game that much and mostly want to go through it as fast as he can and be done with it. So how do you think this gamer will feel if you force him to see everything?

I never said you "miss" 80% of the game. I see you only see 20% of the game. There is a considerable difference between the two. Think about it.

And, y'know,
gameplay. Let's face it, Arkane have never been the most original storytellers, but they assemble their games with a degree of world detail and player freedom that very few other devs do.

Yet there may be something in it, some flavour, that works.
Like actual gameplay? What was the last real immersive sim that was released? I can't think of anything since Arx Fatalis.

'Immersive sim' is such a bullshit buzzword term anyway.

No, it means everything we believe in. We just haven't agreed on what that is exactly.
In the last ten years.

My point still stands.
