Okay, now show me the *actual* gameplay, k?
Still, cautiously fapping in anticipation.

The art style is all over the place. Seems like they couldn't pick one so they just went with everything, a bit from Half Life, another bit from Bioshock, another from Thief, and a shitty cartoony look to the characters. Other than that, the gameplay sounds fantastic.

Looks awesome. Given the sort of games Arkane makes, I'm probably filling the gaps in with emergent simulatory goodness but doubt they'll disappoint in that area.

I would like to like this. I hope the test audiences will not massacre it, the funding will not dry up, and it will really be the game they are shooting for.
It is a bit of a tall order to expect TTLG to like it. They don't like anything, not anymore.

"In Dishonored you play a supernatural assassin capable of sneaky stealth takedowns, animal possession, and balls-to-the-wall destructive carnage."
...so like VtM: Bloodlines? OH MY GOD IT'S HEAVAN

It would be awesome if the game defaulted to no rules; just 'here is where you start, here is who you need to kill, here are your tools, here is a level and a pile of simulated systems, now get to it' but that you could earn bonuses (money to spend on equipment, experience, whatever) by adding your own rules to the mission before you start. Have a list of optional objectives you can choose from (i.e. "don't kill anyone" "don't be seen by anyone" "kill everyone" "beat this time" etc) and maybe treat them like a side-bet - you get some sort of bonus for completing them and lose something if you don't complete them. That way you couldn't just add every single one with no fear of failure.

Meh, it looks like it was built with the HL2-era version of the Source engine. Low-res textures and blocky models... they could do better.
The thing that's gonna differentiate this game is the gameplay, which sounds like the exact sort of mix we as an audience prefer anyway.

Well, if you have to ask, the answer's obviously not you, is it? :)
