Also, I swear to god I don't know if you're writing those posts in character or if you really talk like that or what but you need help, like medication and possibly therapy. How have your family not staged an intervention yet?

I have a hard time considering anything ccchoad posted in this thread idiotic when it's in such close proximity to whatever the hell it is GD was trying to say.

So I'm playing The Knife of Dunwall and had a chuckle when in the meat locker in the first level, the slaughterhouse, a paper has J. A. Manderley listed as one of the anti-union employees.

I played through Dishonored for the first time this past holiday break. Here's a review and some points of discussion from a long time Thief fan.
Gameplay was good. I enjoyed the powers - something I wasn't sure about going in. I stuck to a low chaos play through for my first go: so blink, dark vision, and agility were the only powers I bought.
That said, as much as I wanted to like the setting and the story - I didn't. It really shoves itself down your throat. The vast majority of characters are one-dimensional and well evil.
There's a religious organization that kidnaps and murders children. This is an organization that existed well before things went "bad" as a state entity and will exist even after the events of the first game.
Then there is the government that employs turrets that murder anyone except guards. Walls that disintegrate people on contact. And horrific stilt riding, drugged soldiers that rain down fiery death.
Yet the game basically punishes you for assassinating your targets. Instead encouraging you to pay someone to cut out their tongues and dump them in a coal mine. I don't see how that gets you the good ending, but it does.
I hated the audio graphs as the confessions recorded on them seemed implausible for any character to leave lying around.
Overall, the writing is sophomoric. It seems like world, characters, and story were devised for a high school English class assignment. I really wanted to get into it like I did with Thief but I couldn't. Thankfully the cutscenes can be skipped.

If you don't criticize System Shock, Bioshock, and similar games for doing this exact same thing then this comes off as hypocritical.
