That's a pretty good breakdown, actually.

In Thief 3, the uh...well, the... Too tired to think about this. But basically part of it was the Keepers becoming corrupted, and trying to directly influence events instead of being neutral observers (excepting cases like The Dark Project and The Metal Age, where balance had to be actively restored), disrupting etc etc Gamall etc whatever.
The problem was twofold. On one hand, you had Gamall - an actively corrupt Keeper, on the other you had the rest of the Keepers, who were too passive, preferring to argue endlessly over interpretation of prophecy when action was necessary to restore balance.

PC Gamer UK said it somewhat like this; the first is about restoring the balance when nature goes astray, the second is about restoring the balance when technology goes astray and the third is the inevitable full-circle - restoring the balance when the restoring force itself goes astray.

GOTY? What an excellent news:thumb:! I wonder whether Arkane release the map editor along with GOTY... What do think guys, is there some potential in Dishonored as a platform for fan missions? It seems that Eidos Montréal will never release the map editor for its NuThief, so it would be nice if Arkane release the map editor for Dishonored, because IMO this game is even more Thief-esque than the upcoming EM's game.

Highly unlikely.

What exactly do you mean?

We knows people. Couldn't hurt to ask Digi sometime.
MoroseTroll on 17/9/2013 at 16:20
Before ask Digi, I think we, the community, should ask ourselves: do we need a map editor for Dishonored? Let's imagine that it will be released this evening. Who would download it right now? Who would like to create an FM/assets for DH? How many people will be engaged in it?

Nobody, because most FM makers are terribly boring Luddites who haven't played Dishonored because it was made after 1999 and is full of "consolitis."
