I searched everywhere, and eventually I went beyond the map to a bug-filled area (which was actually an incomplete area that no player was ever meant to go).
In the Prison Escape segment, right after you blow up the door, look right at a guard station and 2 guards shooting at you. I couldn't make the jump and kept falling into the water, so instead, I jumped at the exact moment that a guard behind me shot at me, and it propelled me to that small guard house. I killed the two guards over there (a third spawned out of nowhere), jumped into the water, and then saved (I should have saved earlier). You can see under and around the archetecture, and you can see the exit door to the sewers through it.
There is a small canal under nothing to the left, and a large, open sea to the right. The small canal leads to a world of 2D buildings that from far away are ment to indicate buildings, but now they are all flying and floating in random places. Then, I fell through the water and died (this happens in both directions). At a few places, I fell through the game world and looked up at the houses as they flew higher up as I continued to fall for 30 seconds, before dying again. Once over here, there is no way to return.
This was pretty cool, and I feel I need to just reload and record it to show people I actually did this.

i know this isn't the place to be critical of anything but this game is boring and homo. there is nothing good about it. the engine was licensed from a 3rd party, so that is theonly good part, the technology.
the only character name i can recall is corvo, the guy i played. that should say something about how memorable the npcs are. also i know theres two inventors making potions, once gives mana and the other one gives health. "i'm a natural philosopher and i.." did the a4 paper delivery man's 8th grade daughter write the dialogue for these guys? oh yeah and whale oil is a fuel source.
the game world is just depressed and boring. just because they could do this effectively doesn't mean they're getting an apple.
the gameplay i will comment on only briefly since i didn't complete the game. here is the summary: it's boring and tedious. dont waste your time on stealth, it's nothing like the thief games, they have to give u incentives to actually use stealth its so bad. (complete the entire game without getting seen and u get an achievement to show to your friends etc.)
review disclaimer: i didn't purchase the game but acquired it for a short period by other, legal means. game was played on the ps3.
the reason for the disclaimer is just in case one of the developers or stake-holders is reading this post. i dont want them thinking they swindled me, im way too savvy for that, those idiots will never get a dime from me.
final score? 1 apple out of 5
//i cant remember if i've rated this game on this forum before. if so please quote this post with my previous review if u feel like it.

... and moving on.
<deleting my original post - sorry, demagogue, I thought I was in the "What are you playing?" thread...>

Why are you asking an AC:R question in the Dishonored thread?
You can use the "What are you playing?" thread for that.

Sorry, wrong thread... (Gotta drink more coffee!)

Oh, I don't think you need to worry about
anybody being offended by your words. Your
existence maybe, but not your words.

The stake-holder cackled maniacally as he read the post, overjoyed that he had tricked the hapless fool into buying his game. Nearing the end of the post his laughter suddenly stopped. Teary eyed he starred at the monitor in disbelief. All joy had suddenly fled from his life.
The next day the cops got a call from the neighbours that an odd smell was coming from this appartment. When they investigated they discovered that the stake-holder had hung himself. His computer was still on, on the screen was a forum thread displaying a post. A post by... mr. hermit.
THE END

Played it, really liked it, stopped just short of loving it. One thing that would improve it would be removing the recharging mana for blink (and recharging mana in general) - while it's a fun tool that makes escape exciting I thought it made it too easy having it always accessible. You get to the stage where you don't actually need to move or jump anywhere, you can just blink between cover every 2 seconds like a miniaturised battlestar galactica - obviously, you can just not do that, but I always prefer built-in limitations to self-imposed ones. It seems like the sort of thing that should be in the ini settings somewhere, but I haven't found it so far. I've tried just increasing the cool down by 10x in the powers ini (cool_down seems like it should be the one), so you at least have to wait like a minute before blinks if you don't want to burn mana, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

I haven't played it on anything but 'very hard', but I can't imagine how anyone could find the stealth useless. My experience is pretty much exactly like Thief in that regards. I can go toe to toe with a guard or two but anything beyond that and it's instant death. At least using a stealth-oriented build.
