In case you needed more proof:
Both the heart and the empress's voices are credited to the same person

It is hard to say how they could make a sequel, and they probably shouldn't, but I'd happily buy a Dishonored Gold edition or a game in the same style with a different environment and story.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what they do with the DLC in regards to this. But they've made so many references to other nearby places and locations in Dishonored World, the possibilities for a sequel at some point are wide open.

What is up with marketing for games these days? This game's tag line is 'Revenge Solves Everything' and the marketing seems to focus on the killing aspects, even though the game pushes you to do the exact opposite. I seem to remember the same thing happening with Invisible War - the box listed multiple ways of killing people, but the game was largely about nonviolence. Do stealth and nonlethal methods just not sell? Do games need to be all about killing people in multiple ways to be successful or something?

The term "Revenge" is pretty subjective and not necessarily violent. I also remember one of the tag lines or company lines was that Dishonored was "A game about assassination where you don't have to kill anyone."

In a word, yes. Marketing flashy violence is much, much easier, and much, much more effective.

What?
WHAT?
Have you people seen the non-lethal methods? They are brutal, worse than the lethal ones arguably as they inflict much suffering. The Masked Ball non-lethal is horrifying.

What, you mean knocking a woman out and putting her on a boat with a strange man? I see your point.

Yes it is. Actually, it was the only assassination mission where I spared the target (all the others were up close and personal), since I felt she did not actually do anything particularly bad, but regretted it immediately afterwards.
My other idea was letting loose The Rats on the party, Masque of the Red Death style, but it struck me as too gruesome even for a game that's way darker than it can be expected from computer games.

Sparing the Pendelton brothers was arguably worse than killing them, as well. Can't say I felt at all bad about the nonlethal methods for Campbell and the Reagent, though.

I didn't think of that, Melan. Interesting way to play that mission. :p
I finished the Golden Cat on my high chaos playthrough, and I killed 64 enemies. I killed 89 in the Campbell one and did awesome stunts, like knock on the front door and assassinate all the overseers as fast as possible. I spare the innocent people, though. I'm too much of a carebear to kill them.
