Agreed; you'd think in this day & age teachers would be a little more enlightened.
I keep thinking it, but it often turns out not to be the case but usually dyslexia is involved
My Grandmother ended up with a stutter because of the way she was treated in school.

You are just special, not weird. ;)
:cheeky: I'll have to remember that next time someone tells me how odd I am.

I'm right handed but from the first day I wore a watch I've worn it on my right wrist.
Yesterday I tried wearing on on my left to see if I'd get used to it, and I didn't.
The watch felt surprisingly heavy, even though it's quite light.

Ah, another. I constantly get weird looks for wearing my watch on my right. It's always felt more natural.

I think we should form a club.

My left's completely useless except for putting on makeup... I can curl my eyelashes, tweeze, apply mascara and all that junk on my left eye with my left hand as well as I can with my right on my right eye. A case of simple necessity, I guess; if you HAVE to use your left, your muscles will figure it out. (duh.)
And I don't know what it is about lefties but every single guy I've ever loved, dated or even had a crush on has been a leftie, without exception.
Grendel, heal up soon. Ouch.

^ "Without exception"...I'm a leftie. And very adept at it as well.
I wear my watch on my right. It's hard enough to write left handed as you're trying not to smear the ink and having a watch on I find it uncomfortable to write with it on my left wrist. But I use my right to manipulate my mouse.

It is actually quite easy to break a window with your hand without hurting yourself.
It's also quite easy to break a window, with your hand, without hurting yourself, while trying to open it when it's frozen shut, while being laughed at for breaking a perfectly good window for no apparent reason.
I wouldn't recommend it, though.

Yesterday morning, 7:30 AM to be precise, I'm standing around doing my morning routine (scratching my ass while staring blankly out the window), when the phone rings. It's a nurse calling from the emergency room I visited just a few days before. The conversation went something like this:
Me (groggy): Hello
Nurse: Hello! This is nurse blah from blah medical center. I'm just calling to ask how your hand is doing.
Me (not so groggy anymore): Oh, it's fine. The big wound still looks disgusting, but it's improved over the last couple of days.
Nurse: No pain or other difficulties?
Me: None whatsoever. It's swollen a bit, but I can move it just fine.
Nurse: So have you gone for a checkup yet?
Me: Nope. The doctor never brought it up. He just said keep it clean and bandaged, so I assumed that was all I had to do.
Nurse: OH MY GOD! YOU HAVE TO GO SEE A DOCTOR! SOMETHING STRANGE CAME UP IN THE X-RAY AND MIGHT NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!
Me (suddenly a little worried): So...uhhh...what exactly should I be worried about here?
Nurse: I dunno, I'm just the nurse.
So after much fretting, I get an appointment with my doctor. An appointment I just returned from. Long story short, I have a 2x8mm shard of glass buried dangerously close to the knuckle underneath my index finger, and have to go to a specialist to get it removed. According to the doctor, it slid it's way through the massive gaping hole that used to be the base of my index finger, and worked it's way up into my hand the first time I made a fist.
So anyway, yeah...joy of joys.
