Do lefties use the mouse on the left side of the keyboard?
Well, I do everything with my left hand but use a mouse. When I was in my early teens and just getting into computer gaming I used the mouse with my left and the arrow keys with my righthand. Then, I kept having people tell me how it was much better to use wasd and so I completly switched (took a while to get used to) and now I can't use a mouse with my left hand at all:p
ALSO, I still don't know anyone else who does this and people always are weirded out by it, but I play games with the mouse set to
Inverse, I just can't play otherwise, any other lefties do this???
Well, all the talk of left handies being computer programmers reassures me that im not screwed, I just usually find myself doing projects radically different from the way any of my freinds do them, and sometimes it's alot worse and I would have probably never thought of the way they did them. Ah well, I guess this could be a good thing, I just have to learn to THINK like a righty, and then compare the two methods:p

Wow, thanks for the responses. I really didn't expect that much feedback. I figured someone would think I was being a smartass and let me have it.(actually had people in mind that I thought may do it too;) !) I'm not a lefty at all(hit my left with a hammer before, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count!) I read the thread and wondered, since I had never seen a "lefty" mouse. So all you lefties are PC superior? That's interesting. I couldn't program a pc if life depended on it. Of course that could just be stupidity too, probably doesn't have anything to do with being right handed.:joke:

I'm not completely ambidextrous, but I have a tendency to do some things differently from most right handed people. I grew up with a left handed parent, who setup the computer, so for years I used the mouse with my left hand; I wear my watch on my right, which I hear is an odd thing to do; but can only rudimentarily write with my left since it's as messy as can be.

That's causing some problems for her and imo the teachers are handling this all wrong - seems like a form of repression.
Ok it's not as bad as when my grandmother was in school and had her left hand tied behind her back to force her to write right-handed, but that is still wrong :(

So do I. Maybe it's not that odd after all.

If you start wearing it on the right arm from the start, you will get used to it; no matter if you are right or left handed. The human brain has the quality of being able to get used to pretty much anything if you have the willpower.

Yes, I am left or right handed.

I did try to wear my watch on my left wrist after it was pointed out how odd it was. It was too annoying and I gave up. I guess I'll never be normal :weird:

It's a little awkward to wind a mechanical watch while it's on your right wrist so that might explain the tendency to wear it on the left but who has those any more?
