They should. It's nothing life threatening.
The only scary thing about all this is the price I'm having to pay. I'm without insurance for the next couple of months (figures I have a little accident during my uninsured period). And the tally thus far is:
Emergency room - Doctor looks at my hand, goes "holy fuck, that's nasty! Here's some ointment and some bandages. Oh, and X-rays". Price: $550
Doctors Office - Doctor looks at my hand, looks at fax from E-room, goes "holy fuck, that's nasty! Here's some ointment and some bandages. Oh, and referrals to a specialist". Price: $110
Future prediction of hand specialist: Doctor looks at my hand, goes "holy fuck, that's nasty! Here's an MRI machine, some ointment, and some bandages. Oh, and we cut you". Price estimate: $100-600
So for what's basically a small injury with the added benefit of shards of glass in my hand, it's gonna potentially cost me up $1200. GUESS WHO'S NOT GONNA EAT THIS MONTH? ME!
