Some people should probably not read threads that expressly discuss said trailers, then. Exercise your freedom of choice or something.

Be nice if that was in the thread title.

Nah, it's always been a poetic title.

JJ must have a thing for starships emerging from deep waters... First the Enterprise, now a Star Destroyer.
Not gonna lie it's a pretty badass visual...

This film looks dull af.
Returning character can get out.
Get some new ideas. Star Wars has been rubbish for 2o years already.

Thanks for stopping by, Mr. gigantic ray of sunshine.
If I remember right, everyone was praising the last movie because they finally did something new and changed the formula.
icemann on 25/10/2019 at 01:23
What planet you been on? The vast majority hated the Last Jedi. Johnson really fucked up on that one.
Renault on 25/10/2019 at 02:29
@icemann - I'm not sure if you're talking to me or Subjeff. In any case, the critics praised the last movie for being different, while the diehard Star Wars fans criticized it for (among other things) straying from the formula. I was in the latter group. So when you say "the vast majortiy hated" you need to specify who you're talking about.
Also - "What planet you been on?" Nice one!

I was responding to your post. By majority I'm going by every person I've spoken to about the movie, much of the youtube reviews, forum posts regarding the movie etc.
Renault on 25/10/2019 at 14:15
Yes, but critics somehow loved it. Check Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, or just about any "professional" reviewer. Personally, I hated it. I'm a diehard SW fan, and it's the only SW movie that I've never rewatched after seeing it in the theater the first time.
