Agree with most of the video. After the last jedi, there isn't really anywhere from them to go after it besides:
* Big super weapon that needs destroying
* Another light sabre battle between Rey and Kylo
And that's about it, which is basically Return of the Jedi. So what's the point then? As the Force Awakens was a rehash of sorts of A New Hope. The sad part about getting older, is watching all the things you loved as a kid get slowly ruined in sequels, remakes and reboots.
I will say though that on the video game end, the Star Wars games have mostly been fantastic. Except for Battlefront.

...created new jedi powers that were just CRAZY and far beyond even the most powerful stuff in the earlier films...
The last movie was called "The Force Awakens", which part of that didn't you get?

I'd not equate new god like powers with "force awakening".

The midichlorians are awake. And they're PISSED.

I don't think anything force-related could get more ridiculous than lightning. How does a spiritual energy that binds and connects all living things allow someone to fling balls of electricity at someone.

Compare that to floating superman style whilst encasing yourself in a force shield, and astral projection to a planet half the galaxy away.
Hmm which ones more crazy.

Force jumping's been around since Empire, astral projection since A New Hope.
People bitch about tiny changes in force powers while ignoring that the very first movie had gems like "Hold your fire! There's no life forms aboard."

When in both, as I don't recall either. For empire if your talking about the super jumps Luke did, that's not the same as a superman floating in space style move.

I have the feeling I would not have liked Jedi Poppins anyway, we'll never know. But with the emotional punch of Carrie Fisher's RL death, the bridge explosion seemed like a perfect, albeit unexpected, sendoff for Leia. I for one completely accepted it, didn't even stop to doubt it or consider the fact it was way too early in the movie for something this big to happen... (Did think it was ballsy, for sure...) Then she Force-returns out of freaking nowhere? I'm not saying having her back was bad after but it just cheapened the whole thing and made it look like a joke, and to be honest, a tasteless one.
I understand that they wanted to keep everything the way it was to respect her last performance, and it probably was not an easy decision, but if there's one bit I would have changed in the movie, it's this one.
