Kolya, wtf, are you drunk or something.
They're talking about Luke, he's mentioned that way in the scroll for Episode 7.

I'm bored of Star Wars.
The prequels were really, really awful. I mean, they stank. Even the much loved lightsabre fights are bunk and I was put off Star Wars because of those films and then the saturation of games and TV shows and ack just boring money making.
I wasn't really impressed by The Force Awakens. I liked some bits of it a lot, but overall it was just okay. 3/5.
Rogue One was a little bit better, but on reflection once again it was just okay. 3/5.
This looks to be much the same TFA. I don't reckon it'll be much cop but the fans will love it. I'll still see it at the cinema.
For the record: I was a MASSIVE Star Wars fan as kid. I've seen the 4,5 and 6 so many times. As I kid I had loads of Star Wars toys and I know I like the originals partly out of nostalgia. But try to be a bit objective and I still think they are better films than anything that has been made since.

I had never seen any Star Wars film until the remastered (and shamefully edited) original trilogy came out and a friend dragged me into a cinema to see them all in a row. That was sometime in the late 90s IIRC.
When I left I could hardly remember any of the story. It was all a bit much. But I liked them enough to buy a VHS collection on a flea market not long after, that we used to watch again and again.
With that said, the original films have a charming roughness (and a lot of silliness) about them and they have Harrison Ford, but the films by J.J. Abrams are the best in the whole franchise by any objective standard.

Sorry if my now deleted comment seemed a bit bitchy. It's been a really frustrating day after an already shitty past four months...got a test result back I didn't like...and I guess I'm taking that frustration out on, of all things, stupid Star Wars.
Thanks, gang. :)

I thought it was nice of you to share that, Q...and explains why you haven't been around lately.
Sounds like a really big wave shit hit you...and now it's time for things get better, as I know they will...

This is more or less my feeling. I'm especially annoyed about the prequels, because the over-arching plot of how the empire formed is actually a really solid story arc. Such a shame.
I thought TFA and RO were OK, but nothing amazing. I'd probably watch each of them again, but wouldn't do so in a hurry.

I'm kinda curious what sort of objective standard you're applying here. I'd agree that
The Force Awakens (Abrams' only
Star Wars film to date, and his only altogether as a director) has better special effects, but that's not difficult compared to films that are 30+ years old, but I'd say that it also has bigger flaws especially than
The Empire Strikes Back, the one that I'd argue still holds up best.
