Well apparently TODAY IS THE BIG DAY. At least here in Finland. I do not have TIX, but I see there are plenty of seats available tomorrow and Friday so I'll probably go then. Really don't wanna spoil anything for myself so I've stayed away from reviews and the latest trailers, but I did look up the metascore, it's... 83 Hmm! Expectations adjusted accordingly.

I have tickets for tomorrow night - very excited. I'm most interested in seeing how Abrams blends the old and new casts together, and if they work well sharing screen time. You can tell from the trailers that he has the "feel" of Star Wars nailed pretty good, but there's still a ton to live up to. Here's hoping he's learned from all of Lucas' mistakes.

It was kind of a sarcastic comment about how George Lucas is incredibly rich? Do you think that he gives any fucks about Star Wars?

Funny, I just read something that said Lucas sold Lucasfilm too cheap. it went for 4 billion, and some experts think between merchandising and whatever else, they might make that back on the first movie alone.
And no matter what Lucas says, I'm guessing he still gives lots of fucks about SW.
