(I think we have the guys at Guantanamo to thank for the fact that Iran thinks it can now get away with this sort of flagrant disregard for international conventions :nono:)
Because Iran's record in regard to humanitarian treatment has always been pretty good.

Bomb Iran with porn magazines, and destroy their culture.

GPS data is kind of hard to fake. And given that the Iranians have already changed their mind over where they said the ship was (they initially specified coordinates firmly inside Iraqi waters, then retracted it when this was pointed out to them) I don't think it's too difficult to see which side is most likely to be correct.
Still, it's nice to know that Britain has the support of its European brothers in arms on this issue

How do you know when that photo was taken and where the small british boats were at the time ?

Isn't that also just an unconfirmed claim by the MOD ?

At the moment I don't see any pressing reason to believe either side. Too much bullshit has eminated from both camps.

Just to be clear, you're suggesting that the British MOD and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are on equal footing when it comes to things like honest disclosure and a willingness to distort the truth to further short-sighted political ends?
I just want to be sure I'm not misunderstanding.

It would not matter if they were on equal footing. The equality of their footing, or lack thereof, would not prevent either side from making shit up.

I predict that Iran will negotiate their release in exchange for UK's relaxed stance to continuation of their nucular program.
Geez I'm smart.
