I was going to say, no the guy in the first video is actually funny, but then I realised that neither really are...

I thought a little inflation was a good thing?
Anyway, videos like this (and Leno's old "ask a citizen" thing) make the majority of people look stupid. Lately I've been catching a morning game show called "Cash Cab" and am amazed at how *much* some people know about everything from art to physics - some really smart New Yorkers that the driver randomly picks up.
Then again, one look at the music charts and Nielson ratings make me think everyone really is stupid.

Without watching the video, I can answer yes.
Because no matter how ignorant you can imagine being, there is somebody who is that and moreso.

As my (rudimentary) understanding goes:
A bit, at the right time can be.
A lot at one time usually isn't.
This is a bit irrelevant, but I do recall reading that inflation from the founding of the country up until the turn of the 19th century was only 87%, while since the Reserve was established we have had inflation of several hundred percent. What I don't know enough to speculate on with any credibility is the cause.

Are some people really this ignorant?
Now I've seen the video I don't get the question.
Is this some sort of meta self-referential thing? Because right now I'm questioning whether some people are really that ignorant as to watch this video and think it means anything at all. The only person who challenged him was the person who thought about what he was saying. Everyone else was just "yeah I'll sign" because they didn't give a crap or just hadn't listened and wtf signature man just get out of my hair.
It's like the petitioning stunt at that green festival where they got loads of hippies/environmentalists to sign a petition for the banning of dihydrogen oxide. People will sign anything unless it's blatantly "Sign here to have your children eaten."

even this is pretty rigged but at least it's mildly entertaining; a quick poll conducted in the US about the events of September 11th, 2001
