When I was about 12 I liked to play with plasticine, I created quite accurate figures of Trickster and the Builder and made them fight... I didn't know what to think about their origins so I decided to make my own view on that question. They were materialistic representations/reincarnations of the world's two most influential powers - the power of creation and the power of destruction, like yin and yang. Maybe it's stupid, but again i was just a kid back then.

Actually, I agree with your idea although I always thought of them not as "creation and destruction" but more like chaos and order. Plus, there are Keepers who try to maintain these forces in balance.

i really wished we would have learned more about what happened in the past in thief 4 ... but those disgusting squareenix and eidos montreal people didnt care at all ... they just had some $$ signs in theyr eyes.what is with these huge furnitures in constantines house ?
