Thanks for the suggestions. This problem might be partially caused by the fact that I textured quite large surfaces. This will not be the case in the game. :) You probably mean metal and stone (rock) textures. They will be used on quite small surfaces...
But, yes, these are first versions of the textures. I'll probably work on them much more during my FM developement. That's why such suggestions are really welcome.
BTW, If there's anything wrong with these textures, it's completely my fault. Vigil probably doesn't even know that I finally decided to use his hi-res textures for Thief 1/2 in my material libraries (although he allowed me to do it few months ago)... :)
