I get a little tired of all the Mac using gushers I encounter. Half the people at work have them, and they all have iPhones. We use a logbook for recording our cases and the PC version is a Filemaker Pro nightmare that frequently crashes.
Some bright spark(s) have developed an app for the iPhone (iGaslog) which these smug Mac users brandish like some obsidian grail mocking me and my (relative) tech-savvy as I wrestle with the archaic, cumbersome, outright rubbish PC version.
They also preen and grin about how loooovely the Mac looks, how user friendly it is, how it all seamlessly syncs everything and makes them hard/wet at the same time. So you'll forgive me as I beam with the smugness of a thrice hookahed Cheshire Cat in delight on reading about this:
(

"Apple Bug destroys data".
olol. This is a story about the new Snow Lololeopard OS, that lololoses Apple users data when people olololog in as a guests.
"Reports of the glitch surfaced soon after Snow Leopard was released in August and Apple forums are full of the
anguished howls of victims. Some have lost pictures, emails, videos,
the lot."
ha haha ha hah who's smug now, biatches!!
I know its wrong, like tapping that 20 year old student in the Winter Garden topiary at the firm XMas party; but it just feels so right.

To be fair, they have had a helluva run up until now. I feel similarly to you towards Apple users and the company in general, but some of it has to bve envy on my part. Hell, if I could throw $2,500 at a computer and not bat an eye, I would love it.

all your data eh? Good job it'll all be photos of previous styles of beard, intelligent dubstep songs and ironic porn

Ironic porn? That's a new one. Does it happen to feature a guy who secretly wishes he's a girl and once he becomes one, discovers that he's actually a lesbian?
Because I'd be so down with that. Sounds sordid and tragic and hot.

and its not the first time this has happened either...
but to be fair windows home server did the same thing and more recently a bug Microsoft built/run data cluster lost everything, blaming it on a third party for not doing thw backups... you gotta laugh..

All computer systems are equally shit. anyone who tells you different is deluding themselves. different systems are just rubbish in different ways. At least with PCs you have plenty of people looking to see where all the faults are.

It's mostly a reaction to a few years of 'anti-Vista' ads by Apple, most of which don't seem to have much grounding in reality... (but then again I got Vista well after it had come out and most bugs had been smoothed over). Mac people get away with saying this kind of crap about Windows 24/7 whether it's true or not.
EDIT: for the record, I'm a linux guy :)

here's all this obnoxious "BIG TIME" and nyahnyahnyah which strikes me as way snottier than any crusty Mac user stereotype.
Ha ha. Come on, its been yeeeears since Windows users got to be a little bit smug.
And I'm well aware that this issue will be fixed and eventually I'll cave in to getting an iPhone and then a Mac laptop for work only and so on and so forth.
