Appearance of Forum Quotes

Right! I've looked at the forum lately and realised that an awful lot of space is wasted by quotes that few people will read so...
Do you prefer:

Or do you prefer a different option?
I haven't made this a poll because I'd like some actual feedback rather than just three bar graphs. :)

2 and 3 hurt my eyes unless I zoom in to 150%, which means that the line length is reduced and it's hard to follow the text. I think 1 is the best option.

I'd say don't automatically shrink them at all unless they're over a certain word count if you can. Quotes 7 paragraphs long that people don't make small themselves are damned anoying, but there's not really a need to shrink one-sentence quotes. If you can't make that happen and still want to shrink them, then 2.

I like option 2 for longer quotes, such as you have here. One or three may have more impact for shorter quotes. I'm leaning towards option 2 as the best compromise though.

I like Option 1, only because the other two reduce the comedic impact of using small text as an Aside :)

#2. I run in 1600x1200, and the text is plenty readable. Get glasses, lower your resolution, or change your text size if its too small for you...

Seeing as the current opinion seems to favour #2 I have switched the code over as a trial, however it will only effect new quotes and not old ones.
