Out of everyone here who has thought of moving to Canada to skip the draft?
Eh?
Not likely. I think I'll get more bang for my buck down south than up north. Plus, you guys are a bunch of moose-loving freaks.

I had a flatmate who was schizophrenic. He took medication which sedated him quite heavily. He wasn't a drooling zombie or anything but the meds made him a bit slow on the uptake. He was kind of like a big child (he still had adult intelligence levels though), quite innocent. I'm not sure how much of this is because of the meds mellowing him out or the having taken meds most of his life causing him to develop differently (he lived with either his parents or alone, didn't have many friends etc before he moved in with us). Sadly his meds started losing their effectiveness so he had to move back home to start a new line of meds. He started getting quite paranoid in the last weeks. One night the flat was just chilling out watching TV and he piped up and accused one of the other flatmates of calling him(the schizoprhenic) 'a fucking cunt' under his(the flatmates) breath. We were all there to witness that it never actually occured but his was so sure. That was the most extreme example of something 'funny' going on but there were various other little misunderstandings/confusions etc in those last weeks. We never felt threatened or anything, he was a good guy who 'wires' would just cross sometimes. He was quite aware of his problem.

As far as I'm concerned, schizophrenia is one of the worst, most debilitating mental illnesses there are.
Additionally, SD: DON'T GO TO ISRAEL. As noted, I dunno if you're old enough to get out of it, but in a certain age bracket you'd be required to serve in the military anyway. Second, if you're not Jewish, you'll in many ways be a second-class citizen there.

No doubt there are mental illnesses that are a hell of a lot worse than Schizophrenia.

How so? Being Jewish gains you citizenship, but non-Jews can get citizenship as well, and the rights that Israeli citizens get are the type of sensible privileges you'd find in any country, like the ability to participate in government. There is some discrimination against Arabs (mostly de facto, not de jure discrimination), but Israel is a pretty diverse country. There are many white people, Arabs, Christians, etc. And it is by far the freest country in that region, whatever the surrounding Arab theocracies might say.

Eat your words mister, or have your rapier ready when I come for you!
Nice! Perhaps it
should be 'duel', and not 'dual' personality, when you
always argue with the voices in your head...
Or should it? Perhaps the very definition of 'voices'... <snip>
(Walks away twitching and arguing with self)
